A former police chief and narcotic agent, Wayne Babish has most recently served as the chief investigator for the County of Allegheny (PA) Department of Law. Among his responsibilities as chief investigator, Babish is responsible for providing litigation and investigative support to the County Solicitor and the legal staff. Babish has also served as the executive vice president of a privately held security firm, as the president and CEO of his own private investigative firm, and the sole owner and operator of a boat sales and rental business venture. He is also currently an adjunct assistant professor and facilitates undergraduate law enforcement courses at Point Park University. He also facilitates a variety of undergraduate criminal justice courses in the School of Criminal Justice Administration and both undergraduate and graduate business administration courses in the Schools of Business Administration and Management at the University of Phoenix. Babish holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Babish was recently appointed to serve as a member of the SHRM Employee Health, Safety and Security Special Expertise Panel for a three year term beginning in 2006. By serving in this distinguished role, he will be able to provide input to the SHRM Board of Directors, members, volunteers, and staff by identifying emerging trends in specific topic areas, providing expert advice on matters of professional significance and providing guidance on matters of public policy. Babish is also a member volunteer with the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association and a member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
