Associate Professor Shanti Gamper-Rabindran was recently published in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. In her op-ed, Infrastructure bill will energize Pennsylvanians, she argues, "renewable energy can provide additional benefits to communities — turning brownfields into brightfields that provide tax revenue for local governments, and the hosting of solar panels offers an income stream for rural communities." At GSPIA, Dr. Gamper-Rabindran's research and teaching focus is on environment, energy, health and development economics policy, applied economics, and program evaluation and geographical information systems. She is also the author of the forthcoming book, “America’s Energy Gamble: People, Economy and Planet.”
