Dean Carissa Slotterback has been selected for the 2024 Class of Academy Fellows by the National Academy of Public Administration.
“The 2024 class of Academy Fellows reflects a wide range of professional experience, including dedicated civil servants and accomplished academics,” said Terry Gerton, President and CEO of the Academy in the announcement. “These 42 leaders will be an enormous asset to the Academy in the years ahead, and we look forward to working with all of them to help create a bright future for our country.”
The National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) is an independent nonprofit organization established to assist government leaders in building more effective, efficient, accountable, and transparent organizations. Selection of the Academy’s new Fellows follows a nominating committee’s rigorous review of the individual’s contributions to the field of public administration and policy and a vote by the full Fellowship.
This year’s class joins nearly 1,000 current Academy Fellows, including former cabinet officers, members of Congress, governors, mayors, and state legislators, as well as prominent scholars, executives, nonprofit leaders, and more.
“It is such a privilege to be selected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration,” Slotterback shared. “I am inspired to support NAPA’s commitments to advancing the field of public administration and contributing knowledge on the most pressing issues facing government.”
Dr. Slotterback joins a number of accomplished GSPIA alumni and emeritus faculty in accepting this honor. She will be inducted during the annual Academy Fall Meeting in Washington, D.C. in November.
